PTWS-SC-2

The PTWS Steering Committee met 17-20 August 2010 in Honolulu, Hawaii, hosted by the ITIC and US National Weather Service Pacific Region. Under the chairmanship of Lt. Giorgio de la Torre, the Group discussed progress and activities during the intersession period, including the PTWS Medium Term Strategy and financial plan, action items under the PTWS Implementation Plan, planning for Exercise Pacific Wave 2011, and the 2009 and 2010 destructive tsunami events. The next session of the ICG/PTWS-XXIV will be hosted by China in Beijing 24-27 May 2011.
