15 August 2007, Mw 8.0, Near the Coast of Peru

This earthquake (2341 UTC) occurred off the coast of Peru about 45 km (25 miles) from Chincha Alta, Peru and 150 km (95 miles) from Lima. The epicenter is calculated to be at 13.358°S, 76.522°W at a depth of 30.2 km.
