ICG/PTWS-XXVI Meeting Logistics

TWENTY-SIXTH SESSION OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION GROUP FOR THE PACIFIC TSUNAMI WARNING AND MITIGATION SYSTEM

22-24 April 2015, Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Waikīkī, O’ahu, Hawai’i

The Session will be held in Regency Room of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikīkī on the island of O’ahu. Affectionately known as the ‘Pink Palace’, the historic hotel has been a familiar Waikīkī Beach landmark since its opening in 1927.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
NOAA will provide round trip transportation between Honolulu International Airport and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel for the IOC Secretariat, PTWS Officers, and Member State Delegates.

For Observers and other participants, airport transportation options are a private taxi (about $45 to Waikiki), or a Airport-to-Waikiki Hotels shuttle bus to/from Honolulu Airport to your hotel. There are many companies that offer airport transportation.  One option is the Speedi Shuttle, which is available outside of baggage claim at a cost of about $15 booked at http://www.speedishuttle.com/pickup.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
All hotels are within walking distance to the Meeting Venue (Royal Hawaiian Hotel). Taxis are also readily available from all hotels to the Meeting Venue. Car parking is available at reduced cost in the adjacent hotel parking lot – validation will be provided by NOAA.
